HypTec GmbH was founded in 2010 by Ing. Mag. (FH) Thomas Höller and DI Andreas Zieger. Initially, the focus was on developing a pressure regulator for the 700-bar hydrogen technology.
In 2014, a small testing facility was set up, exclusively for small components. Over time, the portfolio expanded to include all valves from the tank to the fuel cell. In 2018, DI Andreas Zieger left the company, and HypTec GmbH was solely managed by Ing. Mag. (FH) Thomas Höller. In autumn 2019, t Ing. Mag. (FH) Thomas Höller became the sole shareholder, acquiring 100 % of the company.
By the end of 2020, the company expanded and a new testing facility and production site for series manufacturing were built. The company relocated in January 2021. In early 2022, a partnership with a German company was established.
As part of this partnership, the product portfolio was split in 2024, and since then, the Lebring site has positioned itself as a service provider with a testing facility specializing in hydrogen and special gas storage.
In April 2024, the company was once again acquired by Ing. Mag. (FH) Thomas Höller as the sole Shareholder.
